Does beer burn?
At only 4% alcohol I would think not, it's more water than anything else. Add in the Carbon Dioxide content, which puts fires out, and this fire becomes quite surprising.
I suspect there was something else in this truck other than bottles of beer.

The barrels would have been under pressurer (if it was real beer and not beer-flavoured liquid-to-be carbonised-on-site) , so the fire might have weakened the barrels and caused them to explode from the internal pressure.

This was a Stobart trailer truck, shown in the photos to be carrying packaged bottles of beer.
No sign of barrels or spirits, thus my interest.

The trouble with a fire involving beer, 10 mins to put the fire out, 2 hours to put the Firemen out.
