Having seen rotting vegetables and green potatoes for sale in Tesco's Sheldon last weekend (and at Morrisons this Friday) I can't help wondering what they classify as edible and inedible food. Green potatoes are poisonous, peeling the green off doesn't make them edible as that is just edible Chlorophyl, the indicator that tells us the potatoes contain toxic chemicals.
Have seen rotten veg in Tescos for sale mnay years ago. That is one reason why I usually avoid the place. This year, having seen that this year their mince pies were supposed to be the best, I went out of my way (two buses), and covered up my moral conscience, and visited the store, only to find that they had apparently sold out and only had lots of Mr Kipling. As all pastry in Mr Kipling products has been pretty awful ever since they got the "healthy" bug ansd substituted the fat used in it, I left empty handed.
