News today that the government plan to mess with who and who is not added to the sex offenders list that bars convicted paedophiles from applying for certain jobs working with youngsters.

The government say they are scaling back the current system to common sense levels. At the same time the list of jobs that sex offenders will be banned from will also be scaled back.

The NSPCC say that under the new rules a convicted sex offender could get a job as a classroom assistant or a youth sports coach without anybody about their conviction.
