I like the quote from the defence lawyer "He showed genuine remorse once he was confronted with the acts he had been doing from a different perspective.”
Yet that is clearly untrue if the he in question was smiling about it in court.

I think it is time criminal defence lawyers were penalised if they lie in court.

Lawyers & solicitors are as crooked and devious as the criminals they represent. They will lie, distort, and ignore the truth with impunity. There are a few honest ones. the wife of a friend of mine is one, but she makes (or rather made, as i haven't seen her for quite a while) no comment when I sound off, but her husband told me whe has no argument with my opinion, and that hwe opinion of the "profession " is why she keeps to her own speciality of family law.
My opinion of them is not of course influenced by how they tried to con me with a bill over my divorce, and then, when proved wrong, suddenly found an extra QCs bill that made the bill even more. that was in Brum.

Do you know why you have to employ a Barrister through a Solicitor, its not just to con you out of a bit extra money. It's because Lawyers, Barrister and Q.C.'s have no legal recourse to make you pay your bill, but solicitors do. This says something but I'm not sure what.

Our firms old solicitor one of the most double dealing and crooked bloke (when he needed to be) I ever knew. Is now a judge, at least I would rather see him as a judge than some of the specimens that we have that know nothing about real life.

I also thing it has been disgraceful the way the poor parents of Milly Dowler have been treated by the legal profession throughout the trial of Levi Bellfield.

Nor me Sheldonboy. This morning 'The Mirror' reported the following: 'Desperate North Koreans have resorted to cannibalism because of a shortage of food. One case among 700 reported seeing a man kill his colleague with an axe, partially eat him, then sell the remains as mutton at a market'.

One way of bringing the population under control I suppose.
The trouble is most of the people you would think deserve it Would also probably the most inedible.
