RIP Kathy Kirby aged 72 who died last night after a short illness. I saw Kathy live several times in the 60's and she sang as good live as she did on record. She used to support Tom Jones and I saw them both at the Odeon twice and they were both well worth the price of the ticket.

She did used to appear on a television show in the 70's I believe, but I've never been much of a one for the box. She was never much into the pop scene. I believe she started off as a big band singer.
I also remenber Kathy was a guest on the Morcambe and wise show. she had an unbelievable figure including a very sloping chest and always wore very glossy lipstick. Eric said I kissed Kathy Kirby this morning and I slid off. of course she took this very well.

She was used and abused by Ambrose the band leader, say no more, why do you women let it happen, answers only from the female members of the forum, because I have never been able to understand it.
