A great day for such a brave little girl. I know how lucky I am, I had Meningitis when I was just a few weeks old and that was in 1950.

I wonder why they had to pay for the legs themselves, surely that is something the NHS would cover. Selly Oak hospital used to specialise in prosthetics.
