Do you think the average person cares about this wedding, other than a day off and a boose up. I for one won't be watching, but I suppose the wife will. No dinner that day until its all over. I might have a few days away. When is it?

I don't care what anyone says, I am a thorough Royalist, you can keep your presidents as I am sure most of the people in the Middle East can tell you right now.
I also look forward to the day when this country celebrates St. Georges Day.
If someone doesn't like the Idea of a Royal Wedding that's fine, but why does everything have to be pulled apart. There are enough various factions ripping this country apart and raping it's very fabric every day. Any small thing to keep this country and it's people together should be celebrated.
I am proud of my country and my Englishness. It's no good moaning about foreigners all the time ( we are all forever reading about it ) and then moan about things that a lot of people will surely enjoy. SB

Bring it on fella. I'm not against change. I just hate the changes we are seeing. I want my country back.

Think rather the Royals than a president.

I do resent their riches though when so many are poor and apart from The Queen who I think has devoted her life to her duty the rest of them are not much good.More like soap opera, maybe they have always been that way but now the press shows no restaint.

I have a feeling thaty we are coming close to the end of Royal family......another 100 years and they will be gone I reckon.

I think William will be a popular King as at the moment he has all the charm ,but he may be an old man when crowned and not able to pull it off.

However if we had to choose I would keep them as I don't much like the alternative.

As for the wedding I will enjoy it as many others will and wish them good luck.....they will need it.

I have nothing against a King or Queen as head of state, I just don't see why we have to have all the other hangers on. Or why we have to pay to keep them all in such luxury. I don't want to hear anything about their private fortunes and estates because it was all robbed from our ancestors by their ancestors and its about time it was returned.

Having a King or Queen as head of state with the present system would be difficult if they didn't have family's. it wouldn't be possible to make little princes and princesses who can grow up into monarchs. We could elect them of course but then we elect governments don't we and what a complete ****up we made of that. SB
