Lybia's troubles

#1 by Sheldonboy , Sun Feb 20, 2011 3:32 pm

Scores killed in Libya 'massacre'
Details emerge of massive casualties in the Libyan city of Benghazi, where doctors say more than 200 people have been killed in anti-government protests.

I see Gadaffi isn't messing about.

That could backfire if the trouble reaches Tripoli he has employed foreign mercenaries according to the news because the police and the army refused to fire on their own people. If it carries on too long they may turn on him . This trouble has engulfed the whole of the middle East and North Africa , the West are proping up most of the troubled nations , Libya being the exception so it will get much more media attention than the rest

Bernie. you are getting as cynical as me !
I'm sure there are a lot of people in Libya that would love to see Gadaffi go to Paradise. As this seems what all extreme Moslems like him want, then it is a win-win situation

It would be good to see all the dictators go so long as they are not replaced by radical muslim goverments . The short term effect of all this will be taking out a mortgage for a litre of petrol and BP and others still making a fortune .

I have to agree with that, the whole Middle East has a few more surprises I think and not too far away either. Things seem to be happening very fast over there.

Well, hardly ever, anyway, although she did jokingly say
"Boy, it's been so long since I held you, I nearly gave you up for dead."
