Right Frothy I have finally found your question. The answer is definately NO. How can I be so sure, well my wife and I are Trustees of The Birmingham St Georges Day Association. Our committee USED to put the concerts on at Symphony Hall. We didn't put a concert on in 2016 because Symphony Hall took our date off us and Gave it to The CBSO because they wanted three nights in a row. Our funding from the Council has been withdrawn and of course it costs an arm and a leg to hire Symphony Hall our last hiring was around £12,500. As our funds are now quite low The Birmingham St Georges Day Association is very nearly closed down. We are however holding one last concert at Birmingham Town Hall featuring the band Quill. Now Quill are a great local Band and some of our money is sponsoring this concert. Any monies we have left will be divided amongst the charities we have supported in the past. After this final concert The Birmingham St Georges Day Association will be no more, due to extreme lack of local interest. I hope this answers your question Froth. Graham
This is so sad Graham, to hear that the Birmingham St Georges Day Association is winding up. I'm am as guilty as the next man for not supporting this organisation, sorry
