Quote: Slow Jo wrote in post #4200There were two at the bottom end of our high street ,closed when the council started regenreation ,one was knocked down ,to make room for a old folk's home the other was a big one that was going to knocked down ,and a supermarket put there .Neither one happened , both ran out of money ,now it's just an eyesore at the bottom of the high street.
Trouble is it's a downward slope, once a pub goes out of favour the takings go down, usually the first thing that goes is the cleaner (to many the most important person in the pub) the boss says the barstaff can do the cleaning, but they rarely do. No one likes a dirty pub so fewer punters go in, then the heating starts to be turned down to save money, then one or two lightbulbs are taken out or not replaced to save a bit more money, nobody wants to go into a dark, cold pub with no soul, not long after it is a gone pub. End of.
Evening All had a really nice break in north wales the weather was good apart from the night when it went really cold we drove up the great ormes head in llandudno the views were great

I think I am right in saying one family owns most of Llandudno and they keep it very well.
