Good evening everyone, easy day today. I popped into town had a wander round and popped home again. I cleaned the pond filter which was a bit desperate and had a rest.

We saw some in the cairngorm mountains , if you can get hold of some binoculars , take them as they are very timid some times ,also take some insect repellent ,the flies can be a nusiance in the evening if your out and about, especially by water.

jo i have binoculars to take and also jungle strength insect repellent...i well remember those dam midges when i lived in the north of scotland..have to be very careful now as this past few years if i get bitten by anything i take a bad reaction so i have also got a supply of antibiotics to take as well just in case..

Good for you lyn ,furthest north we went was culloden ,we were camping in gale force winds ,when we took the tent down the next morning ,some of the poles were slightly bent ,thank goodness the tent stayed up and didnt blow away, got visions of me chasing a tent half way across scotland.
