Gold Hoard Found in Piano

#1 by Voltman , Thu Mar 16, 2017 11:57 am

You have to be mad to report finding this lot.
It will either go to the Crown or the original owners heirs.
So much for possession being 9 points, etc

As you say Volty I consider myself an honest man but I would have to think carefully about handing this in. Bearing in mind also that there is a charge of Stealing by finding with quite a high penalty.

I would have thought that stealing by finding applies to finding things in the public domain, not so much to finding things in things you own on your own property.

How about just putting it back in the piano?
Take out one coin at a time over many years.
