I didn't know that SB. i do know thta the original (and to my mind proper) meaning of sophisticated was adulterated or false. I think that fits is well with what so many people consider sophisticated - much modern art; poncy cooking where the taste isn't important, but the appearance is all; Hello magazine; ................

It's not that i don't know, but I seem to get a bit dyslexix when on a keyboard ("thta" and "is" rather than "as")

Are we back at school here? Does it really matter how things are spelled or spelt. As long as we convey the message that we wish to impart that's all that matters. For those that are pinicky and don't have a spell checker try downloading this one.
