RE: SNOW ON THE WAY - 5

I have just read that we should have rain over the weekend.

The snow is thawing here now but it's still only around Zero

It's all my fault. I complain about having just a dusting them we get 5 inches in one day.
I have been pouring warm water into the bird baths and on the pond ice all week. I don't think there is anybody there at the moment but there were frogs living in it a few months ago.
The thaw was short lived, there will be a lot of ice underfoot tomorrow.

Our snow has nearly gone now.

It's not surprising really, we are having a heat wave. 10c at the moment.

Even the great heaps of snow blocking the pavement, where certain dimwits chose to throw it when clearing their own drives, is melting quite quickly.
If temperature stays with us and the ground dries up I will be a happy bunny.

It will all go tonight it's bucketing down

What I can't believe is how much crap was in the snow.

I don't mean where the cats did there best at burying theirs in snow, I mean the thick layer of mud and twigs that are all over my previously freshly valeted shiny car.
It looks like it hasn't been washed for six months whilst being parked in a muddy forest.

Apparently there is more on the way

As long as there is none about on Saturday I don't mind.
Didn't go shopping last week and now supplies are low.

You will be down to drinking tea then Volty

Don't be daft , it's far more likely I will run out of tea long before I run out of wine.
I have an extensive cellar, next time I'm down there, and over your way, I'll give you a shout.

I will be listening for it.
