What a great Idea. If all shops closed no company would be at a disadvantage. I'm sure any sales could start a day late and give families more time together. The shop worker must surely need a good break by then. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-38286794
I think the same ,all the big shops in town centres will want to open boxing day and don't think of there staff ,they need a holiday as well after the christmas rush.

I had the same when I worked full time in a pub. Only ever had Christmas night off and was too knackered then.
Some shops not only don't care about their staff working, but even ask the impossible, well difficult. I know someone who has the misfortune to be working in Primark at present, and they are asking staff to work 9.00 till 7.00 on Boxing day in Reading ( even though they will not be opening till 10.00 and probably closing at 5.00. Only thing is the buses here don't start that day till about 10.00, and finish at 7.00 . I think the owners (the Weston family from Canada I gather) must be related to Albert Speer and his cronies
