Something we have all known for many years is that polystyrene ceiling tiles are lethal.
They burn readily and drip fire. Knowing this we stopped using them in kitchens and now I don''t think there is a sane person in the UK who has them anywhere in their house.
Why on earth would anyone put them on the ceiling of a basement function room in a bar?

i agree volty that material is very dangerous...i remember back in 1973 when our living room was decorated we put polystyrene coving up...of course we were not aware then of its dangers...

Heard it started when a person taking a birthday cake down stairs with candles alight ,tripped with it.
