Not a total waste surely?
It's costing a fortune, we could have been wasting all that money on the NHS or the Police.
But who wants to feel secure in the knowledge that we will all be better protected by the police or assured of a lifesaving health service when we can provide a useless transport system that will save literally hundreds of people from walking dozens of yards to nowhere?

Went to Wolverhampton the other day on this tram, very good, 1/2 hour instead of 1 and a quarter hours on bus.

If for example the Tram Extension could have gone somewhere useful such as The Bull Ring, Digbeth Coach Station or maybe even The Airport it would have been very good. But at the rate this bit was built and the cost, it would probably been quicker and cheaper to build a bridge to the Moon.

I remember the old trams ,think the last route was villa road ,handsworth ,lozells gravelly hill ,in the days before spaghetti junction.

I never knew Birmingham Trams, the only one I ever saw was in the old Science museum.

H S 2 springs to mind a very expensive railway,for the rich boys ,the working man will not be able to afford it .
