It's what it left behind that is the problem.
Never mind flowers, I hope they destoyed the entire contents of the van.

And what about other vans? The rat may have visited many baskets before getting loaded into his own transport.

Not that I believe anything posted on Facebook or Twitter.

I don't believe for a moment that the rat ran up someones leg just in time to steal a chip.
It's a very impracticable situation and almost impossible to present.
The chip is in his (Customer) hand (what, no cutlery?), the rat has to see the chip, climb his leg then leap to his arm, run up his arm to his hand and pull the chip from his grip.
What complete crap.

I agree with Volty about the trouser leg. However apparently they admitted there was a rat in the reataurant, so I cannot see how they could allow customers in after only half an hour. If a rat was sited during a visit by a local authority enforcement officer then I;m sure the place would be closed down until it had been thoroughly checked by the officer. If the place was owned by a local councillor then, of course it might be different, but that wouldn't apply to Waterspoons

It's an admission that something occurred but I seriously doubt it was a real rat attack.

Have you seen some of the rats that drink in Wetherspoons?

The silly part about Wetherspoons is all of the smokers have to stand outside. Wonderful you say, but in warm weather all the glall frontages open up and the smoke blows inside.

Who cares?
It's what killed pubs in the first place. Horrible smelly smoky holes.
