RE: OPEN ALL HOURS - 340
This is the place where Brummies used to chat about Birmingham old and new along with anything else that interests us.
We have Quizzes, Pizzas, Local History, News, Politics, Wedding Cake, Plum Pudding, Champagne, Easter Eggs and, above all, Respect for our fellow members.
We are in a place called the Rope Walk a very nice pub, we were stuck unders trees in the church yard, as it turned to a full blown thunderstorm we thought we should make a run for it. Getting pictures of the Wicker sculptures. Will start posting them in a gallery there are loads.

I always feel that St Pauls Square is a little detached from Birmingham, it reminds me of some of the squares in London. Mind you I haven't been down that way for years now.

Yes I realise that and perhaps it's just that that makes me think I have strayed outside Birmingham any time that I go to that area. Perhaps it's a good thing it is on the outskirts of the city or else Birmingham Council would have had it down and gone by now.

Interesting that on the other forum someone is today asking after G E.Mewis Ltd, who had a rope business in St Paul's Sq, of which no 16 (the no of the pub) was part for at least 30 years
