One supposed origin is that the phrase derives from mythology. Dogs and wolves were attendants to Odin, the god of storms, and sailors associated them with rain. Witches, who often took the form of their familiars - cats, are supposed to have ridden the wind. Well, some evidence would be nice. There doesn't appear to be any to support this notion

Don't worry Voltmeister my knowledge of Brum is quite broad but the recent changes in town are sickening me and I hate them. We will certainly stop visiting the place so often. I am sure we won't be the only ones. Our Council is overrun with a pack of self satisfying, moronic. Backward thinking Idiots.

Morning all,
Looks to be a promising day so far, which is good,I have one of my granddaughters coming with her boyfriend to stay for a few days.
