A woman in her 80s has apparently been shot by another resident.

As the perpetrator is already in custody, without having to turn up to a meeting to find out if he did it, SBs Agatha Christie reference must be along the lines of someone dying wherever Miss Marple or Poirot went to stay, usually some country house where breakfast is served on a sideboard.
Or it could be Rosemary and Thyme are doing some gardening there.
