What has it got to do with the government?
If you live somewhere nice where rain collects then you get flooded, if you don't like it then move.
If the government get involved it is my money they are spending and I don't want them to spend it on flood victims.

Volty if I may say so, your sympathy Hormones seem to be a little misaligned. Some people endure Fire in their homes this is an emergency. If God forbid this happened to you, you would call the Fire Service to sort out your emergency.
If you were on a cruise and your ship was" God forbid" sinking, you would hope I would think be glad of a lifeboat to assist you.
I would also suggest that if your house,were it not on a hill was under three metres of water you would also be very glad of someone plucking you off the top of your roof. Just an observation but The Emergency services come in many guises.We all pay for them in the hope that we never need them as with any insurance policy.

Yes we must spare a thought for those people who are suffering
so much with there floods we are so lucky

well i would rather the government help the flood victims than keep giving hand outs to those who enter this country purely for hand outs..free medical treatment..schooling ..housing etc etc etc
