Has anyone else had trouble with the Net tonight. I couldn't get on for ages and I know Nanny Lyn did too/

It all went ok a bit later, I was messing about for about an hour before I realised it was the NET.
As i have a new Laptop along with new Internet I thought I had a Gremlin.

SB, if you are having trouble staying connected to the internet it may be that you have a dodgy home phone.
Unplug all your phones and leave just your broadband router connected and see if that improves things.
If so, plug the phones back in one at a time while checking the connection.

They do say "up to 200Mb". I doubt if yours willa ctually get very near that unless you are very lucky. That said, I am pleased with Virgin generally for speed and service

I should have said up to 200 Mb and like you say it never reaches that
but like you we are pleased with the service
