British Airways Plane Fire

A BA aircraft at Las Vegas caught fire during take off on 8th September, but fortunately was still on the ground when it suffered a catastrophic engine failure.

Despite the fact they were all about to die if they didn't get off the plane, many passengers chose to hold everybody back by collecting their hand luggage before evacuating.

While I can understand that nobody wants to lose their belongings Computers, Handbags etc. Most people know that in a plane fire situation there is a golden three minutes to evacuate the plane and extinguish the fire. After that roll out the bodybags. Anyone slowing down an evacuation should I think possibly face prosecution.

If was on that plane I would want those who stopped to get their luggage imprisoned for a very long time. I cannot believe people could be so stupid and selfish, but then again!

I hope the authorities don't ignore this one as it makes a mockery of all the safety briefings that are given to air passengers.
