Best way to get rid of any pest's and the cheapest is a size 9 boot.

I don't think that will work on our two bushes absolutely covered in moth or butterfly eggs.
I've tried washing up liquid but they are still clinging on. If they hatch there will be millions of grubs.

Pray for a cold spell it might kill them off,jan said try 2 part's vinegar to one part water in a spray bottle ,that should do the trick.

I doubt if they are the subject of this thread SB but there are so many of them they will have the same effect on the bushes.
I'll try that recipe, thanks Jan & Jo, I really don't want to resort to chemical warfare using commercial products.

The vinegar seems to have killed them.
A couple of weeks ago the eggs were still attached to the bushes but had turned to powder.
Now one bush is completely clear of them and doing well, the other still has the eggs residue on it and most of the leaves have dropped off but it is still alive and green in parts.
