I went fishing loads of times when I was a kid. The only thing I ever caught was a cold.

Could never understand why anyone would want to spend hours trying to catch a fish which, after probably causing a big rip inits mouth ,they don't want to eat but just throw back. Even more useless a pastime dressing up in peculiar gear and playing golf

It isn't golf that requires the dressing up, it's the golf clubs.
That's not the sticks, which also like to dress up, it's the social clubs.
You could play golf naked if it wasn't for rule 765B.

Doing anything with your dad must have been good, my dad died when I was seven so I never really got to know him.

A little bit of Angling knowledge the Manager of the England course team is a Brummie now living in Worcestershire.Birmingham produced hundreds of top match anglers. When the England manager goes to France or Italy there are tv Cameras waiting .England has more World champions in Angling (Coarse) then any other country.
