Superfast Trains

As much as I love trains and have done since I was able to walk, I can't see myself travelling at 1000 miles per hour.

No way would I go on that thing ,it's alright till something go's wrong ,then what,at that speed no chance.

A little knife comes out and gently scrapes you of the seat in front.

Hope they supply crash helmets ,in case of emergency stop .

It could be used for freight, that would remove all the long distance lorries from our roads.

Trains crash at the speeds they do now any faster and it will be worse

If the new trains go at these speeds they would more than likely be driverless, A man couldn't think fast enough to react.

What about the the people who live close to these lines they would be in danger

They would if they tried to cross the line

They would need to pole vault across

A giant catapult would be better ,but get a good mattress.

They will run in an airless tube. Idiot public won't get near them.
Having nothing to crash into will negate the need for emergency response.
Oxygen in a breakdown might be a bit of a problem though, which is why I see them as a means of sending goods in the same way as department stores used to send cash around the building.
