Yes please, with a bit of prior warning I might have stirred myself for the Tamworth sale.

Get yourself along here in the morning and support a worthwhile charity whilst enjoying yourself and seeing the rest of the park.

lol phil...i was just about to start a new thread for this subject...good job noticed this first...can we add charity shops to it too...

right then i went to the basetts pole boot sale this morning...did not buy much of interest this time..got me minted lamb chops from the van..spuds and fruit...one or two bit of fishing tackle for my son..a nice plant for the garden oh and a burger and cuppa..nice couple of hours out...

some of you may have already seen this but its always nice to have more input from those who have not...i bought this lovely old teapot from one of the many charity shops by me about 4 weeks back..pretty sure its pewter but the inside of the lid and the base are of a different metal..looks more like silver...it was the pattern on it that struck me and its the same both sides of the pot...still have not been able to find out what the markings are on the underneath but will keep trying...hope you like it..it only cost me £3.50 and there is some weight to it...

The Elizabeth Svendsen trust for Children and Donkeys is a very worthwhile charity. They rescue donkeys from various parts of the world. There is a very large Donkey Sanctuary in Seaton Devon, and others you can find on their website.
They also have a sanctuary in Sutton Park where I sponsor "Donk Dean" in my wifes name. The Sutton centre also ecompasses a Riding for the disabled scheme in the indoor riding hall. Where disabled children get to know the Donkeys and with help from expert carers they ride on some of them. The centre in Sutton Park is not open to the public, except on certain open days. Where of course money is raised for the charity. Please help this charity whenever you can SB.

The pot was made by Henry Wilkinson & Co Sheffield and it is silver plate. Wilkinson went out of business in 1892 so your teapot is 118 years old at least. Here is another mark although for a different year.

oh you are joking phil...i just new it had some silver of some sort in it...when you say silver plate do you mean the whole of the teapot as i am sure only the inner lid and the base are of that...the main teapot looks to be pewter...this is brillient news..thank you..just one more thing can you identify the exact year by the markings although just to know its at least 118 years old is good enough for me...
