This is the place where Brummies used to chat about Birmingham old and new along with anything else that interests us.
We have Quizzes, Pizzas, Local History, News, Politics, Wedding Cake, Plum Pudding, Champagne, Easter Eggs and, above all, Respect for our fellow members.
The university once had an interest in local history, and its (now dead) extramural department ran some excellent (reasonably priced) courses. Now all they are interested in is stocking the vice chancellors wine cellar and promoting ridiculous courses such as Professional golf studies or Applied Golf management. This might be a slight exaggeration , but the essence is true
