if you think about it, your best mate, you can order in fast food, watch the sport of your choice, get drunk, no issue, go to the pub with him, make a pass at any women you fancy, no jealousy, wear whatever you like without being given rules. so really apart from one small item !!! which if they didnt have you - would throw rocks at them. so I guess they do provide one small service, but we pay a lot for the privilege.
