Seventeen fancy pigeons. Two of them eat from my hand.
Four squirrels, hand fed Hobnob biscuits if they feel brave, or fight with the magpies if we have to throw them.

One of the squirrels is very pushy, he comes into the sun lounge if we are slow getting the biscuit out of the tin. He pulls it off us and runs away a couple of yards before turning back to look at us. I'm sure he gives us a nod of thanks.
Unlike other animals squirrels don't like human chatter, so I think the trick is to say nothing, not even clucking and tutting sounds as they are alarm calls in squirrel talk.

Volty you never cease to amaze me. I never knew that you were fluent in squirrel.

Our wood pigeons fascinate me, they look like cartoon characters.
