I still prefer old plant pots.
They were made of terracotta clay and can also be used as a sink, toilet, chimney pot, etc.

Morrisons have some very large ones for a couple of quid.
These days terracotta often describes the colour and the pots turn out to be plastic rubbish, no use at all.
