Never mind the diabetes aspect of this way of eating, it seems a weight loss is guaranteed.

That makes sense, in that if you spread the meals out over a lot of little ones, then there is more chance for sugars to get absorbed , thus giving a sugar high, whereas if you just have two large gollops of food, then not as much gets absorbed and more gets passed out unabsorbed , and so you tend not to put on as much weight (or actually lose weight).
Mind you I seem to remember that for years some people have been saying the opposite for losing weight - that you should spread your eating out over the day.

Speaking as someone who recently spent time in hospital due to type 2 diabetes I can say Nothing is Guaranteed.

My wife has Type 1 diabetes and injects twice a day
and her diet is very important as it can lead to a coma
