Ferry Disaster in South Korea

#1 by Voltman , Mon Apr 21, 2014 8:15 am

There are so many things wrong here.....http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-27100056

For instance, who in their right mind would arrange a school trip for 339 kids, all at the same time?
The teacher that did has since killed himself. http://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/04/18...EA3F02420140418

The captain was one of the first of the ship, and some crew members, that captain should be tried for murder he should have overseen his passengers safely of first .

I heard a young officer not properly trained was steering. Apparrently he spun the wheel to hard and the ship went over when it turned.

If he was that poor, probably learning ,then you would think an experienced officer would have been with him,to make sure he did not do that sort of thing.

It seems to be a new trend. Captain is first off his sinking ship so he can manage the evacuation from a safe place.
