Awful Explosion in New York 2014 (revisited)

Just watched the vid's that's terrible,gas can be so dangerous,when out of control.

According to that report, one person smelled gas "for weeks" before the explosion and the one that finally reported it lived in an adjacent building.
So why didn't the people living in the building raise the alarm sooner?

I bet that person is feeling pretty bad. It is possible if they made the call they could have avoided this disaster.

It must have seemed like another 911 at the time.

The trouble is ,people always think someone else will do it.

Exactly right Jo, that happens so often. That excuse is always given I think people are just lazy or don't care though.

Maybe they are afraid of repercussions,or getting a bill.

In America that's probably true Jo.

Got relatives in idaho, they said they bill you for everything,and expect prompt payment.

The yanks are too busy spying on everyone They need to put their own place in order

I would like to visit America (some parts) but I am much happier to be able to say I am English. When you think two of the subjects America like to attach themselves to are William Shakespeare and our royal family it says it all. Their main history consisted of Red Indians, thanks to their lawlessness and guns they destroyed them.
