Thanks SB., I really enjoy doing anything with photos or graphics and am always looking for a new challenge.
Here's a little tip for everybody, how do you know your camera lens is clean ?, breathe on it, and if it takes more than a couple of seconds to clear it needs cleaning, DO NOT USE TISSUES TO CLEAN LENS OR SPECTACLES,they contain micro size slivers of wood pulp and will scratch your lenses etc.

A well (often) washed cotton handkerchief is what I have always used for cleaning lenses.
I also have some rather expensive lens cloths, about as big as a handkerchief, that I use for polishing watches and lenses, but they stay in the bag.
If I ever drop a lens cloth on the floor I don't use it again until it has had a good wash, grit don't you know?

Here's a couple of photos, The first one I've never seen before, and the second one , we all know where this is, but it was taken from the English Heritage site and labelled Small Heath !

John I recognise Ann St that became Victoria Square and Colemore Row, but the other photo has got me stumped. It's obviously a college or something similar but I don't think it has anything to do with Small Heath.

Phil, I would have thought you would have got this easily.
It's the Nurses quarters at the general hopital in Steelhouse Lane.
It is labeeled NURSES QUARTERS STEELHOUSE LANE, SMALL HEATH BIRMINGHAM 1898.
Another case of someone not knowing what they are doing.

John

You are right I am stupid, I realise now where it was. The photo actually shows Whittal St off Steelhouse Lane and you used to have to walk the length of this building to get to the old A & E dept around the back.

I remember going to a clinic on the ground floor of this building once (no not that clinic) I must have been about 12 at the time I can't remember what it was for.

This must be the building on the left of this photo.
