It's likely to be expensive furniture but they are aiming to price it low, that doesn't make sense. Perhaps Astwood will get round there early Baggie himself a bargain?

quite honesty volty i hope that sue ryders advertise the furniture as once belonging to a footballer that way some folk with a few more quid than ive got will buy it...i cant see them over charging that much though...as a baggies fan myself i wouldnt mind a single chair
What ever the get for this donation would I'm sure be very welcome, but I would expect them to go for the best possible prices out of respect for the donor and the charity. Anything not selling could always be reduced afterwards.

hi astwood if you are talking about these furniture project places well done to your son...when my marriage broke up many years ago now i had nowhere to live and not a soap box to sit on..(stayed at mom and dads for 6 months) got a council flat and went to a furniture project place...got the flat kitted out for very little money and made the place look like a little palace so once again well done to your son..waste not want not..and if ever i have got anything worth giving away to someone who can use it then i will..
Yes Lyn, some people waste an awful lot. I think these places have advanced a lot nowadays, but some ten years ago when I had to empty a house for someone in wolverhampton who had moved permanently to a nursing home, I had difficulty in giving some stuff to any good cause. In particular there was a very good wooden bunk bed , but , to get it out of the room it had to be partly dismantled . No one was interested in having the parts to put together again. in the end the bottom half , which could be used a as bed by itself, was taken and given to someone, and all the rest had to go into a skip.
