The White House - New John Street

in Hockley .......... Played a competition pool match there last night, and just wanted to recommend the place. Although its not in an area you would normally think of popping for a pint in, it was really nice. Serving Holdens Ale and having guest ales as well, the landlord was concerned when he spied two of us in the room tasting each others beer, thinking something was wrong. So being concerned he came over to check all was OK. Very unusual in pubs these days. Nice spread of food, and friendly atmosphere
