3 Year Old Missing in Edinburgh

As a parent that just all seems very strange
Put to bed at 9pm and no one checked on the child until the following morning when they woke up? We used to check when we went to bed and if we got up during the night .. always

From the inferences on the news, the 3 year old child got up, put on a pair of shoes and a jacket, somehow unlocked a door or opened a window and walked out of the house. Strange!

A three year old woud probably have no trouble with locks, but what about the top bolt? Is there no alarm?

This reminds me of a dissapearance in Portugal.
That one has been subject to a major coverup and has become a big money business.

We will have to wait and see how this plays out.

I agree, we have to wait and see how it plays out, but my first impressions were not good to be honest as on the face of it ..... it just doesn't seem right ... maybe it's just because I am applying my standards to the situation

as said we will have to see how it pans out but i agree with you mitz...i still pop my head round the door of my lads bedrooms and say goodnight if they are up late and they are 21 and 27..sound to me like family could be involved in this one..

I agree sounds a bit suspicious to me ,we always looked in when going to bed ,and took key,s out of locks.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was an inside job. I can't for the life of me see a kid of 3 waking up in the middle of the night getting dressed and going out for a walk. Pull the other one.

A missing persons investigator expert said this morning on SKY that having seen the setup at the place, it was almost impossible for a 3 year old child to have managed to leave the flat without assistance. The exit doors are very strong, there is a press button exit system, and is a 3 year old child really going to wander out into the dark and cold?

Imho it has to be someone with a key, because there is no mention of forced entry either. No mention of the childs father yet?

Some thing dos'nt ring true some one is covering something up I think,but I really hope they find him in time,and it dos'nt turn into a murder case.

the body of the little boy has been found..just heard on the radio that his mother has been detained but not arrested...

I should be a Police detective, although I'm guessing the Police had their suspicions from the start.
If it was her (child was hidden in the garden of a house she visited during the week) then she's plainly pretty stupid, as well as heartless

I understand that in a murder case, the Police always look at the close family first.
