Bootlegging

I have just picked this little gem up off the telly.

We have all heard of smugglers. It was done mainly by sailors. Some of them wore High boots with plenty of room, they used to hide contraband down the legs of these boots and that's where we get the term BOOTLEGGING.

Brilliant but what do they call women who smuggle items in their bras ( Bounty Bras )

No it just seems like it.

I saw the same program.
What surprises me is that Cornwall attracts so many visitors who are interested in the history of smuggling in the area. They were a bunch of criminals and there's nothing worth seeing.

criminals they may have been Volty, but they were robbing the Government. I would love to be doing that now.

It only means the rest of us would have to pay more tax to make up the shortfall.
