I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left. http://brummiestalking.org.uk/ I would Agree with you but then we would both be wrong wouldn't we.
I have a gsd. He has known my grandaughter from birth but i still never leave them alone. My dog does know that he is bottom of the family pack and protects her. I believe a lot of this is down to bad ownership and not making the dog aware of his roll in the family pack.
Up until last may we had a rescue greyhound he was brilliant, but never left him alone with grand children no way would I trust him in that situation. They see them as a threat to their position in your pack. He was 14 years old his back legs went so I couldn't keep him in that state. But it hurt so much to have him put down. Don't think we will have another now .
Sorry to hear that Jo, its always a sad time losing a pet. Our old dog was over 18 when we lost her.
