I could save even more than 15,000 by closing the leisure centre or not heating it. If people want to prance about nearly naked they can do it at home, why should I pay to keep them warm?

Turn the heating of in the council chambers, that would save a few bob ,then buy all the members a skipping rope ,keep them warm and get them fit

It would be a better idea to turn the bloody Councillors off. Considering all the cuts in services we have had for years now. Then they go and build a monsterous flippin Library that cost 188 million quid that we didn't need right now. Just to satisfy the ego's of a few councillors.

Hi Jo, it's a bit ridiculous when you think of the problems in caring for the old folk etc etc etc. Also many places are closing swimming pool, libraries and even Police Stations. Our Governing masters rarely come from the working classes these days and between them in my opinion are totally making a complete cock up of our way of life.
Is it not time that this country and its population and our way of life that has evolved over many generations took priority just for once while there is still time.

Hi sheldonboy i agree with every word you put, but i think it has gone too far now. I remember my dad saying years ago if this is the land fit for heroes to come home to we would have been better off losing the war. It feels as if we come last after everybody else this day and age, I am glad he's not here to see it he was a proud man.
