These things in my opinion are intimidating.

now this subject i will comment on..agree with you SB i also find the veils very intimidating...quite right too that the veils should be removed for any security reason etc and i also think that those who get on buses with passes should be made to remove them so that the driver can see their faces...how do we know that the person with the pass is the pass holder...great scam and i bet it goes on...also think that as my sons if they forget to do so are asked to remove their crash helmets when entering a shop then veils should be removed as well...more likely to be a terrorist disguised as a woman than a biker wearing a helmet...as usual one rule for them and one for us...

I have to wonder about the helmet in shops thing. If you go in to rob a shop and you are wearing a helmet then you are not about to take it off when requested, so you will rob the shop anyway.
What does the shopkeeper expect to achieve?

And one other thing I'm not sure about....what are shops?
I know about supermarkets and wholesalers but I can't quite recall what a shop does.

Well, if he refuses to take off his helmet then he is automatically a suspect. If the thing was organised correctly, entry to plaes that specifically ban helmets would be an offense and he could be arrested. This should apply apply to those covering their faces in other ways. They do not HAVE to go in if they do not want to show their face to the world. If religions say you should remove your shoes entering their buildings, then they should remove their veils etc when entering buildings that request it

hi mike both my lads ride bikes and automatically remove their helmets because they have nothing to hide but like i said earlier on the odd occassion when they have forgotton they have been asked to remove the said helmet.. in actual fact i cant ever recall seeing a sign in any shop saying they must do so although there maybe some dotted about..my point being that there should be a hard and fast rule now that anything that completely covers the face then they should be removed for security reasons regardless of religion...

That veil will cause more trouble as time goes on. It is worn as a personal choice. there is nothing in the Quoran that makes this compulsory if there was I could understand it. Some of these women choose to wear it because they are deeply religious and wish to do so. But most of them are young girls who just wish to be confrontational.
Adding balance to this there are many many people who are natural residents of this country who's Ancestors actually built this country and formed its traditions. One of which is a great distrust of people wearing masks. In past generations the people of this great country have been robbed by people wearing masks and hoods. Message to Veil Mask and Hood wearers- The honest and good people of this country do not accept you and we never will.

Another Veil Issue.
Many Muslims are speaking out against the Veil. Wearing the Veil is Not an Islamic ruling, It is a matter of personal choice. Many are now wearing it for political reasons not religious. A judge has spoken out tonight.

On Central News tonight was an item about how the Villa Cross Cinema changed to showing Asian films years ago. Mostly women went to see these films and not a veil in sight.

I would think that there would/should be an automatic appeal against any conviction obtained using any evidence from someone who's face was hidden.
