I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

The yanks love to make things out to be better than they are - the Singapore Flyer is 165 mtrs, so only so only two mtrs in it- not much really, the flyer is a great ride you don't know it's moving, you can order food and wine to have on the trip, very cool at night champagne and fresh seafood. and there are other proposed wheels that will see off the us wheel. if they get built, Berlin at 185mtrs, Dubai at 185 mtrs and Beigin at a whopping 208 mtrs.

a lot of these wheels don't make money at all

in melbourne we dont like to talk about wheels, we have one ( well sort of) called the southern cross, build about 5 years ago ( well sort of) lots of fanfare loads of shops built around it to feed the hordes of visitors, opened then four days later shut due to heat failure in the metal structure, so we have a japanese designed wheel, using australian steel and australian builders. so it was completly demoilshed, then two years ago they started again, this time they didnt get the pods on before it suffered stress to high winds, demolished again, started again last year they have 5 pods on at the moment. so what went wrong, was the design wrong not taking into consideration the 40C plus we get sometimes, the strong winds theres nothin between us and the antartic, did they use the wrong guage of steeel, did the builders make errors, who knows its all very hush hush, im only happy that its owned buy an insurance company not the government
