I wouldn't use slug pellets, they are no good to cats and dogs either.

But if you go and buy some slugs' they will help to attract a Hedgehog to eat your slugs?

Is it left out there at night?. If so I would think that it would scare the life out of anyone bumping into it at night! Mind you some yobs would probably set fire to it as well. I like it. better than most of the "art " that you see

That is to much, never payed that for a dog ,and it dont take so long to walk a dog as it would to walk a tortoise.

Hedgehogs are really good at clearing garden pests and they hold no loyalty. Once the food dries up they move on.

I don't think you need to go so far with a tortoise though.
