now i feel quilty as i use slug pellets only because my garden gets over run with snails before i even put the pellets down..certain plants they wont touch but on the whole they will have a go at anything striping them down to just the stalks and plants are not cheap..so whats the alternative?? any ideas folks..

Is it left out there at night?. If so I would think that it would scare the life out of anyone bumping into it at night! Mind you some yobs would probably set fire to it as well. I like it. better than most of the "art " that you see

We use to have a visiting hedgehog, but did'nt see him last summer ,we live by a road so he probably got killed .They are on the danger list now.

jo ive only ever seen one in our garden in 14 years...which brings to mind that as kids we used to have a pet tortoise...cant believe the price of them now..bout £100

That is to much,never payed that for a dog ,and it dont take so long to walk a dog as it would to walk a tortoise.

Hedgehogs are really good at clearing garden pests and they hold no loyalty. Once the food dries up they move on.
