I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Of course they should pay, if they hadn't lied none of these expenses would have been incurred. The only error here was by the judge who should have order these costs paid at the trial.

I hope he is not released until all the money is paid. The liberal party and the country should also be recompensed for the costs of the by-election caused by his lies

I would make him and her pay back every penny that this fiasco cost the country and lets face it when I say the country I am talking about us, the tax payers.

Dead right Phil, MPs think they can do what they like, and usually they can.

If any of us mere mortals go up in front of the beak for a motoring offence lets say if we want to argue the case. If we then loose that argument the usual procedure is that we are dealt with more heavily for wasting the courts time and on top of any penalty awarded we have to pay the court costs. Why should this pair be any different. They have already received preferential treatment.

Perhaps the difference is that you or I might argue a minor point whilst admitting the offence.

These clever people just lied consistently, like proper criminals, and therefore get preferential treatment by the police and the courts. The professional criminal is, after all, where the legal professionals make most of their money.
It wouldn't do to deter them from their activities.

Of course he will pay, just after all the other Scumbags pay their expenses back.
