I have just heard on the BBC News, The UK Border Agency is to be abolished.

Yes, but the person in charge of it for a lot of the time, and responsible for much of the mess is now in charge of Revenue & customs, so is handling your income tax etc.

You are dead right Mike, I understand she is being investigated. Apparently she worked for Birmingham Council, says it all.

As I understood it she did not just "work for" Birmingham counci, but had a very senior positionl . As you say, that explains it !
