Church Road School, Yardley

This photograph was taken in 1922. My Mom is on the front row, sitting behind the tiger. A classic picture, I think.

Have you any idea what year the school opened Jack?

The school opened in 1909 and my Mom and I attended the Centenary in 2009. Mom took an apple for the headteacher and the children were asking her what it was like to be there when she was young. She had her photo taken with all of them. It was a lovely day.

My father, who was born round the corner in 1948 attended this school. Would love to know of others who have their class photos. I've never seen a photo of my father as a boy

All the best

Hi Adam welcome to Brummies Talking, my sister worked in the kitchens at Church Road School in the 1980's but I'm afraid I can't help with pictures.
