Len Vale Onslow actually built bikes didn't he Joe.
Yes your right S B he had workshops at the back of both shop's but the one in soho road was only a small one.He always tried to get to the isle of man for the T T races, and he road a bike well into his nineties. He put some of his bikes into the T T races ,but I don;t know if he ever rode in them him self.
I nearly had a souped up norton once,a lad i knew in rookery road years ago had this norton that had been in the T Traces they put a stamp on the frame,it would do 50 in second gear, easy, not got all the money ,so went round on the borrow ,when I got enough the bike was gone, the lad wanted the money to pay his college fees.I was devastated.
